The Fall

What a spectacular movie; filled with spectacular visuals and characters, all the creation of a little Romanian girls mind.

This movie is a testament to a lost idea of film making. Filmmaking that doesn't rely on the tight shot or CGI, but instead on shots, sets, lighting, colors and location. A film like this should be seen just to see a film done the right way.

The plot isn't strong, but its more of a vehicle for the spectacular images. Lee Pace is great. The girl is great, although I had difficulty understanding her some of the time. Lee Pace wore his characters misery on his face, but moments when he truly enjoyed the girls company showed that the character wasn't always this morbid.

This is a movie that dazzles the eyes and relaxes the mind. Its a treat that should be viewed time and time again.
